Heh, I knew this would come up. Hercules definitly is the one I've had my eye on. I'd say them, but if they're new, you might be taking a risk.(I think they started June 2003)(That also may be why they have so many features and space to offer)

It's a tough call, but overall it goes like this.

1.) Hercules
2.) HD
3.) ICD

i would go with ICD, then HD, then Hercules.

I say this as my dad uses ICD and it works good with him

Well here is my ups and downs on each one

HD:
Easy to use PHP Support
30 Subdomains (way to many for me)
300 POP3 Acconts (way to many for me)

Overall - Looks like too many features I wouldnt use for the money.

ICD:
Cheap
Lots of Person CGI Stuff
Lots of Transfer Memory (100,000 hits per month)

Overall - Lacks some features (FORUMS!!) But has plenty of nice features, subdomains, email etc. Ill definatly consider it.

Hercules:
Cheapest
250 MB (enough for me )
Unlimited Bandwidth
Lots of Email Stuff
Forums + Other interactive stuff
Password Protected areas
Plenty of goodies.

I think Im going with Hercules, unless anyone can dig something up about them that is very bad.

As long as you have a MySQL database, you can implement forums. I'm still working on it also, but it's not too hard. Basically upload all the files(in binary I believe, from your ftp), and run a small install program. From there you customize.(Hmmm, I think I'm gonna go do some experimenting.

The last one is good, but if it is new, i'd be hesitant... I would probably go for the first one if Hercules wasn't around (Cos then i could give out free subdomain's without adds )

But, that's just me...

Keep in mind that there's no such thing as unlimited bandwidth... read the fine print in the licence agreement!

http://www.uh-hosting.co.uk

these guys are tried and tested (by me). Iv'e had a small ASP account with them for around 10 months now (still 100% uptime), and i got a massive PHP account off them about a week ago for TMB. no probs so far, i really recommend them to anyone.

might be worth a look.

oh, and if you want phpbb installing for you, i'll do it. it only takes 10 mins maximum (aslong as you have cpanel or ensim). just add my msnm
