Here is the zip.

Have fun.

BTW, use the mouse left/right and [W]/[up] for speed up and [S]/[down] to go in reverse.

!!! That's absolutely awesome. xD!

Your son may enjoy World Off Road when it comes out.

(You've managed to do what I originally wanted to do in WOR, I couldn't get my head around aligning the car to the floor so I went with a physics engine instead. D: )

It took me a while to figure out what to run, since you attached the visual studio project folder! i messed the exe in the first folder and tried to run the exes in debug and release which didn't work out too well. Generally i think it's best to put the exe in the "main" game folder and then have subdirectories for media.

The game runs plenty fast and the landscape is quite nice and big. Cool that you can jump the car, but the car mechanics could do with some work. Howabout gears and suspension?

This was more of a "test" for me. It's the first time I used the built-in terrain. I discovered some things that was not covered in the tutorial or the documentation-- the max size for the textures is 256x256. Anything larger will have two of the edges not completing.... Strange.

Thanks for the nice response. You may want to take the textures (map.bmp and texture.bmp) and resize them to 256x256, then change the scale in the source code and compile.
