ok ive got a really annoying FPS Creator issue here

i was designing my level and i decided to change the ambiance levels

RBG

now i changed them from there default from 200

to like

220,150,42 ect, i played the game, it didnt look so great and bought the FPS down ALOT, before it was running on 52 FPS, after changing the ambiance it dropped down to 21 FPS, so i thought, whoa, change it back,

i did, i set all the ambiance options RBG to there default of 200,

i applied my changes, and played it again, there was a purple tinge to it now and i was like, whaaa, and the 21-22 FPS, so i went back into the properties and this is what it read

R = 200
B = 131
G = 200

so i thought, pfft, fpsc again, changed the blue to 200 and applied
then ran the game again, and it still had the purple tinge, then i started to get concerned, i went back and checked it again, the same as b4

R = 200
B = 131
G = 200

i changed blue again, from 131 to 200 pressed ok, and then clicked the edit button again, guess what

R = 200
B = 131
G = 200

i manually edited the fpi in note pad, it still doesnt alter the persistant blue variable, could someone explain what is going on here and how i could fix this VERY annoying issue

Thanks
James

Make your changes to the setuplevel.fpi while FPSC is closed or changes wont take effect. If you make any changes in global setup through the editor it has a tendency to reset other parameters changed in the fpi to default. Never make these ambient lighting changes in the setup.ini as these will override all setup in fpi changes.

That might work. Create a backup of the original file first though, then you can copy it

@Jag - Ambience should not be causing lag, it is not any form of rendered lightmapping it is just screen brightness so it seems strange you are reporting lag with ambience changes... maybe something was thrown into the loop whilst you edited the FPI?!

Also to note, there is still a bug within FPSC that sometimes it will still default to 'MyGame' when testing maps. All changes you make to 'gamename' bank folder must be replicated in the 'mygame' folder too!

Hope this helps!
