Sorry ahead of time for all the problems, but nothing seems to work properly anymore! I changed the muzzle flash type from 4 to 5 for a beretta weapon I have, but no matter what I do no muzzle flash is showing up on screen.

Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Thank you!

Yes a saviour! The muzzle flash isn't those white box things, it's just not showing. I created a new weapon, edited a muzzle flash in the gamecore "flash5" and then in the gunspec for that weapon I assigned the muzzle flash from flash 4 to flash 5 and...nothing. Deleted the .dbo files and all that, but still nothing. If you could help, thanks!

Have you tried not using an edited muzzle flash?

Here's your problem :
Quote: "
muzzleflash = gamecore\muzzleflash\flash5.dds"

What's the problem you ask?Simple,you don't write paths here,just a number.

muzzleflash = 5 is correct
FPSC interprets it like this : You have all your muzzleflashes in your folder named flash1,2,3,4,5,etc .dds
All you need to do is specify the number after the word flash,the engine picks everything up automatically.

[edit] still doesn't work. How is this possible?

Sorry,it's 3 in the morning and I'm inadequate.Is flash5 a custom muzzleflash or a stock one,because I suspect the problem might be an alpha channel in that image causing it to disappear

I apologize Gencheff for the trouble. Yes, flash 5 was a stock muzzleflash that I customized. I turned its color from green to blue. How can I fix this alpha channel image problem?

I honestly can't help you with those programs,due to my addiction to Photoshop lol.

However,I do suspect in the editing process you somehow created a blank alpha channel , which obviously would hide everything.

Restore your original flash and when editing be very careful and when saving (if the option exists),since it's a .dds file you have to use either explicit alpha or interpolated alpha (a panel should pop-up asking you which one to use)

It would be good if you just attach the flash or send it to me,so I can actually find the real problem and not use "blind fire" so to speak.
