Hi

Im working on a little project and need some kinda of 3d effects. Atm I thinking I'm going to use particles. The problem is that

- zParticle's link to the editor is down.
- The SPARK wrapper produces some real cool effects but needs a editor.

So any tips/links to other programs I can use?

Keep it simple.

You mean like the particles are emitted within or around the edge of a sphere/circle? Then yes, actually it's only really limited by your imagination (and coding skillz of course). You could make your own, i'd search for ideas of how to do it. There are many particle demo's floating around here.

Hotline has made a wrapper for the Spark3D Particle Engine here. I'm not sure but it might have a spherical emitter.

Yes it has. The wrapper covers almost all features of SPARK , except the SPARK's collision system .(working on it , will be available soon) . And about the editor... well i already started a spark editor project , but i'm really busy these days , so i can't promise anything. What kind of particles you need exacly ? maybe i can help you.
Cheers.

hm? which website ? i didn't linked any website ...anyway SPARK can save/load particle systems in xml format but the official renderer serialization is not completed yet so i decided not to implement the xml saver/loader until it isn't finished 100% .There are few editors for SPARK out there on the official website (unfortunately they aren't compatible with my wrapper)

That was zParticle.. Sorry for that.

Well, I've google'd all over with no lucky. Only thing I found was the SimpleSpark v0.5 which didn't seem any good.

Mind linking some others?

Oh, and I found the 'Natural Selection 2 Spark Particle Editor' but I don't want to buy NS2 just for their editor(and its probably bound to their engine with the lisence).

Keep it simple.

The latest version was awesome. Didn't get any info from the thread(hence it is in french).

Now I just need to load the xmlz into DBPro.
