So i wanted to change the ambiance, or background sound for my level (the second level). The sounds from the first level don't fit with the second level, and i was wondering if anyone knew how i might change the ambiance sounds for different levels?

Thanks!

did you try placing the sound zone trigger right on your start point?

Then it won't loop, and if i set it to soundloopinzone, then once i step out of the zone i loose the sound....

Stretch your triggerzone over the entire area, or simply use:

:state=0,always:loopsound=

yes but you forget that if you have different levels (meaning going up stairs to a new level) it will reset the song and it sounds bad. I will try this though:
Quote: ":state=0,always:loopsound="

And see if it works, thanks for commenting!

Not a mind reader and dont know what your level design is.
I didn't forget that at all which is why I gave you the alternative option. Using 'always' will ensure it is played the entire level, you can then use trigger zones to turn it off/on if required in areas you dont want the ambient sound.
Sorry if I sound trite but been around long enough to know what I am talking about.
Hope this helps you out anyway.

Im sorry, i wouldn't doubt that you know almost everything about FPSC I did seem a bit rude and i apologize for that.
I will try the alternate method once i get back to my mom's house. I currently don't have FPSC at my dad's, but anyways thanks for commenting rolfy!

Lol, No I meant Ill vouch for the fact that Rolfy has been here a hell of a lot longer than most people and knows a lot more ... Though sometimes I get the feeling he's not too happy with me

And if I had to guess, Id say it would be the Google adbot lmao

Cheers,
Anayar

There are folks around here since the early adopter version that know a heck of a lot more than I do, even some who have been shorter time will know more, its not relevant. Pretty sure I have seen join dates from 2002.
I dont respond to questions unless I know the answer, or at least have a good idea of what it is.
I treat everyone with the same measure of contempt, I am grumpy by nature.
The adbot has only been around here for a couple of years and irritated me from day one.

The google ad doesn't really annoy me. I always think that it is a comment, and then i get all dissapointed XD

But that does make sense that some might know more than other not depending on how long they have used FPSC. It's just how you learn i guess, some learn faster than others.

How long has FPSC actually been around? Like 2000?
