Does the location of the texture exist?
Is there a texture at all?
Are they dynamic and if so, is your ambience level 0?

No this is not a bug, it's probably because the texture does not exist. Read below

Does it actually have a full path in the entities options? Or is it something like: texture.tga / texture_D2.tga (something like that?)

If so then you won't find it in the texturebank. Try to look in the entitybank and see if you can find the texture. Also are you using any shaders on the entities? I have had this problem as well, they appear black. Try changing the effect to something like bumpent.fx

Hope this helps!

Are you using shaders in your map ?

If so it could be the shader having the problem.

Hi TheDesertEagle,

Find the entity you want to fix in FPSC entitybank folder and take that "yourentity.fpe" and open it in FPI EditPad or another text editor like notepad or similar to, however make sure you have administrator privileges or your changes won't be save.

Next find the word "visualinfo" in yourentity.fpe file and make the changes as shown in the attached file "yourentityfpe.jpg".

Note that in "Files\ entitybank\ yourentityfolder" there is a yourentitytex.dds file, however there is not any yourentitytex.tga file. For some reason (perhaps file size optimization) the FPSC changes tga file to dds file and after that uses it in game scene.

One more thing, you must run the FPSCreatorCleaner.exe before run your FPSCREATOR program as well.

I hope all previous stuff I wrote here works and be helpful for you.

Sincerely.

Helo TheDesertEagle,

What happens is that if you are using a previously map scene has been saved in FPSC, that retains(holds) the last settings of all entities before you have made any changes in the "yourentity.fpe." files.

I made a short video tutorial showing how to update your scene after changing the "yourentity.fpe." file settings. Do not worry it is very easy as well.

Hello all,

I'm sorry, my attempt to embedding the video in this post failed again.

Apologize for that coding mess guys!

Next time perhaps the thing works, I hope so!

Cheers.

Hello TheDesertEagle,

I am sorry that your problem is not solved yet, however if you put some screen shots showing the issue, your PC or laptop specs someone more skilled in this forum may help you.

Also the direct link in my previous post seems to me that is broken because it sometimes works and sometimes does not work and I do not know why. Something went wrong with Photobucket links this time.

If you or anybody else here in the forum have found Photobucket broken link problem, please try the link below:

Hi TheDesertEagle,

This subject is not part of this thread but here it is one way to learn how to take a screenshot with MS Windows:

I think your operating system is MS Windows, otherwise you could not run FPS Creator on it.

Having said that, if you wanna know how to take a screen shot of your game scene, please just read the link following below: (Don't worry this link is not broken of course!)

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Take-a-screen-capture-print-screen

Note: also don't forget to read in TIP the article: To paste a screen capture into a Paint file.

After that, take your saved picture and upload it using Attachment box in the bottom of your Post Forum Message window.

That's it!

Very simple and easy.

Regards.
