Hi, I am currently creating a new weapon for use on First Person Shooter Creator on Milkshape 3D. I have finished modeling and texturing the mesh, and now I am on to animating it. I have split the weapon up into different groups, and have included the mag mesh hidden inside the clip. I have already got the hands and the animation (exported them from FragMotion as a .MS3D file). There are already bones on the model but I am trying to assign them to my new gun, but I don't know if the right parts are assigned correctly. The weapon is already set up (all the preferences in game-core and entity bank). I exported the model to test in FPS-Creator but nothing appeared on the HUD! Can somebody help me please!

So as I understand you're saying you have everything done properly, the gunspec, the model, animation, etc...?

The weapon could be to big, or off screen. Did it still shoot?

What I always do is merge it with another gun and size/place it according to that, then delete the other one, so maybe try that.

Vent.

yep it's an *.x file. I was using another weapon (the pistol) as a template but I was making my own pistol. I have resized it to the correct size and deleted the original and assigned the joints to the weapon. I am done, then imported it into FPSC and nothing appeared on the HUD when I tested and yes it does fire. I do not think it's too big I think it is unaligned. Could they be a way to align it properly. Thanks.

One I thing I noticed (and mess up with a lot) is that many fpsc guns start off on one axis as default, then move 90 degrees onto a different axis for the equip animation. So they move from, say, the z axis to the x axis in the animation. (not sure if that is correct).
