So you mean the Skybox? This will be hard to describe as obviouslly you don't know what your doing/talking about, and im not on my computer with FPSC so im doing this off the top of my head.

Go to this directory (or something like this, i can't tell right now)
Quote: "\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\files\languagebank\gamebank\mygame\setuplevel.fpi"

Im sorry if that is incorrect, but all you have to do is open that with Notepad and find where it says something like this:
Quote: ":state=0:sky=skybank\natural\Ngt"

That will give you a night sky. But if you want to change it you have to go to:
Quote: "The Game Creators\FPS Creator\files\skybank"

Open one of the folders and you should see a couple of folders that are 3 letters long. Copy one of them (meaning copy the name - Ngt) and paste that into your setuplevel.fpi, then test your game!

I hope this helps, sorry if the information is not 100% right. If you need more help comment. Have you also tried using the search bar at the bottom of the forums? It's useful

Open FPS Creator;
Go to File> Build Game
Go to the "Level Settings" tab
Press "EDIT" next to where it says "Global Script"

A window should pop up with a lot of boxes, like General, Music, Pointer, etc.. Find where it says "Level Setup" and just below that it should say "Sky".

Click on where the text is and a button with three (3) dots should appear. Click on the buttton. It will open a selection box where you can search and find the box you want.

For example... click on WW2>Gas>gas and the skybox should change to the Gas skybox

There... should be totally noob proof

Cheers,
Anayar

Hmmmmmm....

Alright can you do what i posted above? Go to languagebank and change the setuplevel.fpi file?

Actually we will make this easier, can you post your setuplevel.fpi in a code box?

meaning this:

Also tell me what sky you selected so that i can change it for you

What do you mean access denied? When did you get this message? Was it when you were trying to edit the Seuplevel.fpi? or when you were going through the folders?

No... you made one of the most common mistakes. Follow the steps labeled above, select the new skybox and then click somewhere else in the small pop-up box. And then press the "preview" button to make sure the settings took effect.

And Exu, there is absolutely no need to edit the files manually if you can help it. That just causes more problems than it solves And I have the latest release... So you definitely have the Edit button... try looking all the way to the right from where it says "Global Script"

No...Im 100% sure the Other Guys way works

Well i have the EDIT buttons, but they are always not enabled. Meaning i can't click on them, and i manually edit almost everything and i have yet to encounter an error for it.

Also i would like to add, that editing it manually will help him learn more about scripting as well as it has helped me. It also let me realize that i can change the ambiance/fog/ambiance music/etc just by changing something as little as the skybox (manually).

So i disagree with you sir, normally i agree with you on most things. But this i sadly disagree, oh and you probably should not listen to me as im probably a little delusional as it is 5:30am where i live (never went to sleep)...

Anayar, FPSC still has the bug where it will revert to the 'mygame' folder FPI settings when testing levels even though the FPM is specifically assigned to the 'GameName' folder for it's FPI usage.

@Zim12395 - I would recommend duplicating all the FPI changes you make in your gamefolder to 'mygame' also to reflect the changes.
