My third post in two days, lol. Thanks to the forums for the help so far

I've been doing the DBC tutorials while working with DBP, since most people seem to think the basics are roughly the same. But I came across one thing and was wondering if DBP had any more functionality in it than DBC did. The tutorial claims that there is no way to model shadows real-time, but that's for DBC. Is there a way to do this for DBP? If not, can I use Blender 3D to make my landscapes and environments and use their shadow system?

I'm pretty sure shadows are possible. I found this thread: How do you create shadows in DBP?

You could also experiment with DBPro's various shaders and light commands.

Hope that helps

shadows commands are very much part of DBpro. you can have real shadows based on real time and you can have textured shadows for fixed models. you can get the fixed shadows by reading dark light plug-in.

There is a command called "Set Shadow Shading On" in DarkBasic Pro, but it slows my programs down so much, that I never use it.
I suggest making shadows with textured transparent plains, or maybe if you use a low poly model, will run faster.
I just use 3D world studio for fixed lighting, and shadows.
I think that there are some new commands for lighting, and shadows, but I haven't used them.

I like games, and stuff.
