FPSC Classic Product Chat / Model Pack 42 Problem.

Hello, I've got some display problems when I'm using shaders on model pack 42, I've only tried with the female villager but here's my problem.

The character's self-shadowing (not sure about the name) is not smoothed, instead, I see polygons, and it's ugly... (see attached)


I've tried multiple shaders :

skinning_norm_spec.fx
dante.fx
CoZHorrorFX 1.02.fx
zombie_apocalypse.fx
character_planarshadow_template.fx
bumpbone.fx
fixed bumpbone.fx



It was useless, of course I have _D, _D2, _I, _S and/or _N textures.
Strangely, I have no problem with any other character (TF341, MP18...).


Does someone could help me, please ?

Your signature has been erased by a mod please reduce it to no larger that 600 x 120.

RelMayer just out of interest, what are your light settings in setup.ini?

I've noticed that sometimes you need higher than 16 or 32 to produce higher dynamic lighting and shadowing...

Search for setup.ini in the FPS folder and look for these two lines:

lightmaptexsize=
lightmapquality=


Try putting higher values and see if that helps, for example:

lightmaptexsize=512
lightmapquality=30


I reject your reality and substitute my own...

Hello RelMayer

Maybe if you disable all shaders effects fix the problem.

Also you can try this, change the values ​​for lightmaptexsize and lightmapquality to 256 and 100 respectively in your setup.ini file then run the FPS Creator Cleaner and try again.

However, please now you make a new scene with just a few simple segments and your character and see if the problem has been fixed or not. Do not use saved map scenes because FPSC holds old entities settings.

Send me the Shader textures you made. And use "character_planarshadow_template.fx". I would say its the best one.
