I finally finished my website. It's not 100% yet, but im currently still working on it. If anyone wants to go check it out feel free! When i get the money (haha, that's going to happen -___-) I will buy a domain. But for now im current using a URL hider...

Checked out your site and its not looking to bad, the main problem is you have the menu at the bottom and I had to scroll up to see it so at first it look like an image with an update in the middle.

Needs a bit more work but keep at it and move the menu to the top.

I don't understand, you have to scroll UP to see the menu at the BOTTOM? I don't get it? Ill give it a look and see what i can do. Actually i just thought of an idea that might fix that!

Not to say that what you're doing isn't appreciated, but do you have permission to be distrubuting the files for download on your website? The readme in the gun attachment files say that you didn't make them. Is there a license that came with them that you could provide so everyone knows the restrictions on them? It just seems a bit odd at the bottom of the download's page you tell everyone not to redistribute them and yet you have up for distribution. And is Jake (EAI) alright with you redistributing his modified weapon textures and unmodified hand maps?

Sorry i will edit that as soon as possible. What i really meant to say is that you can use them just like don't sell them. I know i need a proper readme telling you what you can and can't do but i can't change the download's right now. Should i remove the links for today and put them back up tomorrow with the appropriate readme file?

As long as you have permission to redistribube the files from the original artists, it shouldn't hurt to leave them as is for a day. But when you get the chance, you should add in a more descriptive lisence to the files so all of your downloaders will know exactly what the restrictions are on the assets (commercial/non commercial, etc).

Alright, i don't really have permission (i should have thought of that, im sorry ) I will remove the links for tonight sorry guys!! I will keep some that i should be able to distribute without permission. Can you tell me what i can distribute without permission Kravenwolf?

You just need to read the license for the attachments, as it should specify weather or not you can redistribute them. Otherwise or if not specified in the lisence, the better option would be to contact the artist and ask for direct permission rather than assume you can freely redistribute. As for the retextures and the unmodified hand texture you've also thrown into your DLS, I'm not sure what EAI'S view on those are. You would need to email him and ask.

Alright sounds good i will send him an email! And i will remove the textures until i get permission to use them. And i can't read the actual read me files right now because im not on my FPSC computer.. But i will do that tomorrow.

I would take down EAI retextures untill you had permission to upload the textures.

As for the sounds you have to check the lisence for each sound as with that site people put up diffrent sounds and some are copyrighted and can not be used in commercial games, it more of a modding site for official games.

I have found the Deagle sounds (well one of them, i forgot to save where i got the files from ) And there is no readme in there so i guess it's fine? I really like it and don't want to remove it :/

First of all, very nice background picture in your website! Great!


Making and maintaining a website is a very hard task and time-consuming a lot and I know well about because I am trying to finish my website but so far I'm working it yet , because I am always looking to improve something else..

Below following some suggestions for your website in my opinion:

In Home page:

- The paragraphs are very close making it difficult to reading the words..

- Try to place a side navigation bar (menu) or above on page if possible of course.

- Your logo is missing in your home page though

In Projects page:

Esperiment to change the font color to improve readability and decrease it slightly because the font size is too large for the page dimensions.


In Media page:

In terms of textures and sounds when someone visiting your website the person wants to see a texture sample or hear a sound sample before making a decision.
"a picture is worth a thousand words" remember that!


In Forum page:

-No suggestion at this time.

In Help page:

You could change the word Help by FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) or Contact where someone could contact you by email. for example.

In Chat Room page:

- No suggestion at the time

In Demos page:

- changing the font colour by one with better contrast with the background picture maybe ease the reading

- Again, the spacing between lines is too tight, you could make a bit larger space as well.

A website is always a work in progress because you can at all times improve or worsen something always.

They are the normal 1 line down. I did not touch how spaced apart they are, but i guess i can change that!

White appears to be the best font color i can choose, it goes with the website theme and is very readable.. And i have attached an image of the website on my computer, the font size seems fine for me? (Note that the screenshot is at 1080p)

Im going to kind of remodel this whole page, i don't like it personally. I just used a default comment thing, and it just looks bad. I will fix it up soon, i will remove the comment box but if anyone needs some help i will create a forum sub category for help!

And again the same things i said before in this post apply to the demo's page as well.

IMO, if you're going to use Wix to make a site, don't unless you're willing to pay for at least the first tier package (which removes the logos and allows to proper domain use), but maybe that's just me

Well i did take a class in school for web design, learned absolutley nothing. Dreamweaver is so stupid it's not even funny.. Wix is easy to use, and it create nice looking website. So yes crispex, it is made with flash and will stay like that (sorry if that sounds rude but it's true..)

And as for Wraith Staff, like i said in either the main post or one of my comments i AM going to get the package thingy when i can AFFORD it. For now i will use a URL hider alright?

Dreamweaver is fun/alright, it is the class that sucked. I went into the class thinking i would learn HTML, but instead i learned Dreamweaver. Which is HTML, but that is not what we did in class. We used the whole design layout view thing. I don't even remember -___-

Hello Exu Corporations

You do not need to redo the entire site just improve a few things if you think is necessary. If despite comments (suggestions) you are happy with the layout of your website I think you should not make any change, after all, the website is yours and you have every right to design it to your liking.


You're not alone because build a website is very hard and time consuming indeed.. Last week I even deleted my whole website under construction and got another templates because I was not satisfied with the style of layout, pictures, logo, colors, fonts, something else anyway now I'm thinking of doing another fully different. Trial and error method!


Having said that, let's go:


Concerning to Logo Definition:

Also named Logotype can be a graphic design or a stylized name is intended to identify your company or business in print advertising, communications, products, articles, vehicles and so on. In the link below you may see some famous logos:

For example The Gamecreators have a logo, which is a circle or sphere or something like that filled witn blue colour and the letters TGC inside it.

In short Logo or Logtype is a type of visual identity, anywhere you look at the blue circle or sphere with the letters TGC inside you will know that thing is related to The GameCreators company.


However, it is not required at this time your website have a logotype. Remember that logotypes are copyright protected and may not be copied. You or someone else should make an exclusive for you.

Tip: You can use your avatar used in this forum as your website temporary logo if your web hosting service allows and you are the author of that avatar (you made it), of course.


For while, forget the side navigation bar also because I understand that you are using the website templates provided by your web hosting service and maybe that stuff (side navigation bar) it's not available with templates.


-What about images:

You could make links to image hosting services like Photobucket, Flickr ,Image Shack , or similar services showing better your textures samples if your website storage space is limited.


-Regarding to sound

Play audio samples embedded in your website this is actually a bit more difficult issue. Forget it for now, unless it is very necessary at this time.

And i kind of have a logo, i drew it in microsoft word. YES, i just said that XD Well i didn't actually draw it, but i put it together in microsoft word. Sadly i may have lost the file. I just tried on my laptop and my mom's computer. Both loaded everything? Maybe it is just your internet? Here:

1. Go here: http://www.speedtest.net/
2. Click settings at the top
3. Down at the bottom it says Speed Measurements, choose megabytes
4. Click save, then click Take a speed test
5. Then click the little green triangle thing and it will test you internet.

It all loaded pretty fast for me. Your still limiting your audience if its the case that certain countries dont load fast.
s4real knows his stuff you would do well to listen to him.

warning!!!

immediatly insert a flag/legal-notice if you dont want to get in contact with a lawyer who sucks the money out of your pocket. also as a private person, you have to place a flag-info with contactinfo etc. ask google what has to be placed in it.

happened to me with my first private page and costs xxxx € to get him of my butt. its state of the art for modern lawyers to search internet for info-faults and elegize the owners *ss up to the moon.

I didn't understand one word of that Maho, and as for Gencheff where do you live? Because if my site is limited to only like the United States then i need to do something about it!

UPDATE - So i don't understand what happened, my site just decided to go down. I have never had this issue before.. You guys can still go here:

Which is the same site, just not a hidden URL. If you want you can check it out. I have made some small updates on it and im still changing it. Thanks for reading!

EDIT - I just reset my URL hider and now it seems like the site is back up. Im currently in Boston, Massachusetts on a small vacation. And i still got on my site/forums (see attached). So maybe it is just limited to the US. Gencheff and others, can you try to go to my original website ^^ and tell me if it works. Thanks again!

Ok here some advice for your site to improve it.

You need a terms of use and a disclaimer on your site to protect you, def if you got stuff you can download.For example I downloaded something on to my computer got a virus and lost a lot of my stuff, I could blame you and sue you for loss of work.

The free forum is not the best way to have a forum and seem's to be limited on where u from , the forum still only loads half the stuff for me and looks like in some places it dont load at all.Best option is to get a better free forum or pay for one.

All Tut's need to be download as a pdf or something its a pain to keep looking at a forum when trying to follow your tut.

Make sure you get permission to use everything on the site even the background image u used might be copyrighted or have limited use.

I hope these things will help you with ya site.

1. I have removed all of the downloads and am changing up the website. If i do put downloads on the site i will be sure to add the terms of use. Wait, isn't that what a Read Me file is for? And you said you got a virus from my site?? I NEVER would add a virus to ANY download i have on the site. I still don't understand why people add viruses..

2. Umm, i only have 2 choices on the wix site for forums. So i guess i will try the other one? I will search the internet i guess? And i have said this like 5 times, i can't pay for anything as i have no way of getting money at the moment..

3. Why? What is the difference? You either going to be viewing it in my forums or on adobe reader or what ever. And as i said BEFORE, i will be making the tutorials into .pdf when I CAN. Mmmk?

What happens if Im in the middle of rigging and my internet went down ?

Sorry for sounding like a pain but Im just trying to make sure you don't get into problems with ya site like so many people have, def with a forum.

Has the forum got an AUP ?

I didn't say your site went down imsaying what happens if my internet went down and I was in the middle of doing a rig then your tut as a pdf would help.

AUP is Acceptable Usage Policy for your forum, check out the AUP for the game creators.

Look at any pro site to get an idea of a disclaimer and term of use policy.

Check out the terms for google code and looks for the disclaimer part http://code.google.com/projecthosting/terms.html
