BTW
An AUP is an Acceptable Use Policy, and lays down the groundrules - swearing, flaming, etc. You neeed to be protected by the AUP so that you can ban people who break it. Remember, the 'net is world, age, and social wide.

Not everyone will have either an AUP or other "copyright" information in plain view. Some will have it when you want to use a forum, for example. When you either register for the first time (or however they wish to construct the site), it may appear elsewhere. Every site is different. Using an AUP or other things like that are the discretion of the owner. If you use it, it is there to help give the "guidelines" for those using your site. It also is used to fall back on if you have to solve disputes.
