Hey guys,

Been a while since I have been on here just have a couple quick questions if you dont mind. Is anything aftermarket currently available for GUI interfaces in DBP? I remember BlueGUI I think it was but seem like somewhere I read this was no longer being updated and may not even be available? If it is still available would it still work?

Secondly, could I theoretically make a .dll in Visual Basic that would allow me to integrate these types of features for DarkBasic?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hello,

I believe BlueGUI is still available to buy, and it still works as far as I know. Though as you said, it's no longer being updated.

I would recommend BBB GUI as its still being updated and has a few more features than BlueGUI. The link to the BBB GUI thread is here. Also go the latest posts for the most recent version.

Yes that is possible if you wanted to make your own DLL.

Are you sure about that?
I didn't think you could use Visual Basic to write DBP DLL's but in this case I would be happy to be proved wrong.

Admiral,

Im impressed with the BBB tool and plugin. I think I will be using that, thanks for this. I do have one question though. In VB we have events that are triggered for example
Sub_onButton1Click(var1, var2)

Do Something...

End Sub

I havent really dove head on into the BBB gui but do things work the same? and what sort of command reference is available?

BBB looks really neat, but how do you acquire the plug in?

You're welcome.

With K.net (Plug-in for DBPro) you can call the class methods. Though it's not released yet.

Admiral,

I have found great use for your designer and the BBBBUI but is there help files available? Command ref?

As for help files, Brendy Boy has been working on them but they are not done yet. There is help on MSDN though, here is a link to the Win32 help.

You can use the keywords file for that.

Admiral,

Thanks again! Awesome job. I have really been putting the BBBGUI and your tool through its paces. I have found some bugs though or at least I think there bugs. For example, in your tool if you create a second window inside the main window that opens and then add a groupbox to the secondary window the secondary window becomes invisible and when I fool around clicking and moving and finally get the secondary window to show up the groupbox disappears? Also, sometimes for now reason it seems to just delete controls on its on, havent found any rhyme or reason to this but this is a good addition to the BBBGUI and I would really like to see it come out for what it can be, so if I can help with bug testing just let me know. I really appreciate the effort! Saved me lots of work.

Again thanks for your work and help.
