So my friend has this problem when running my game on his computer (Windows 7 64 bit) , mine is vista 32 bit, the error says : "The parameter is incorrect".

However, the game runs fine under other different systems like xp, vista, 7 (both 64 and 32 bit)
I can't understand what's the problem exactly, direct x is installed and the error still occurs!

Anyways, here's the game Right Here

any ideas ?

It might help to post the section of code that causes the problem. When you get the error, it will usually say "The parameter is incorrect at line xyz". Remember that number, open up your source code, press ctrl+l and type in the number xyz. Then post that section of code here for further analyzing.

I'm pretty sure though that the next person that posts will have the answer right away

Hi Moaz. The parameter error you're talking about is caused by a "security update" in Windows 7 SP1. To fix this, recompile your code with DBP U761 or higher. Your program will then be able to run.

@TheComet -I posted the full message, no information about any lines, just as i posted it.

@Lucas Tiridath -hi there, i upgraded my version (appears as version 1.0761 in the editor) and then recompiled the code but the problem still exists!

I thought the relevant fix was in one of U77 versions. Try the latest version U7.7RC7. The thread is somewhere among the stickies on this board.

I thought so to. I have also heard reports that older vesions of DBPro like 7.4 work as well (don't take my word for that), strange. U7RC7 should fix it though.
