As a test assign the weapon to the player start arrow. Get rid of the pickup for now and see if it is the HUD.x file giving you the problem. If the weapon comes up then its the pick up object.

If so then try to simplify the pick up object or recheck its assets and scripts for an error.

Then test again with no weapon choose in the player start arrow and place the pick up and try again.

Clear the objects .dbo and .bin files between tests. and force a lightmap change.

Hope this helps

OK so its the HUD.x file that is crashing the engine??
No error messages??
Do you have the direct-X viewer?? Does it open in that.
Has it worked at all yet?

If it crashed when you had the weapon in the start arrow. you will have to back thru your rig and check it and fix the HUD.x file.

Some of the first ones I did, I had to redo a couple of times. Its part of the learning process.

Save your scene so you have what you have now as a back up. and check for error on a copy of it.

What program or programs are you working in?

You may not have to redo from scratch. You can email the xfile and I will see if it open in the direct x viewer. It is a good indication if it is going to work or not. Not 100% sometimes depending on how it was exported.

It might be a scaling issue. its hard to say without seeing what you are seeing. If the pick up object will set into the map editor, but crashes when you pick it up. then I still would say check the pathing of the stuff. You can send the gunspec and the weapon fpe file and I can check them real quick.
