That wouldn't be too hard, you would need to fiddle with the geometry and fpe properties to get good enough collision though.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it just has invisible stairs on the edges so that the player can just walk in.

That would be the way i would do it, Use invisble steps or ramp,
and then use scyfi antigrafty lift script to make it rise

or search in the script post for my fying script, and yes you can stay in the vehicle whilst it moves around

The helecopter looks like it was made to be a platform type object.
Pretty slick.

Give it a shot a see what it does.

What the video doesn't really show is allowing the player to be inside a moving entity and still have freedom of movement wth collision against the walls of the chopper.
You could associate a dynamic entity (helicopter, collision off) with a lift platform to achieve it and freeze the player so he wont walk off it to get a decent result but as you see in the vid he jumps out of it.
Its not as simple as it looks.

Your right, it's actually easier.

If you associate the player with the helicopter the player will move up with the chopper and still be able to move.

Kind of arrogant statement right there, as I tried to just state above the dynamic entity has the appearance of collision, also as I stated above you could do it very simply through associating the player and the chopper with a simple lift platform, yes you could still move (right through the walls of the chopper).
I would love to see you raise the player and get inside with the easier method you propose of associating the player with the model.Try it with a simple open box and get back to me.

Ok, I may have been a little harsh myself there.
You are in fact asking for a walk in helicopter like the one shown in the video, simply associating the player with this wont allow you to achieve what you want.
First off to use the model you need it to be dynamic, the only collision dynamic entity's have is box collision, so the only way to enter it is to turn collision off in the script, if you do that you wont be able to enter it without passing right through it.
There is a reason why lifts are simple platforms that have no walls, at best they raise you in a tube created from segments.
Lift platforms use raycasting to determine when the floor has reached the top level of said segment tube otherwise you will just keep going.
If you really want an insight into how how easy or difficult it actually is to create a realistic walk in entity with walls and doors or a helicopter as shown in the video, download this and take it apart.

I think you will find this to be a complete one off and its never been done before or since.

I just need you to understand what your asking for (its a combination of models and scripts)and why I found your response to be flippant with how it would be easier than I said.
Even if the chopper is a little more simplified than the elevator its based off it and not as simple as it appears.

I understand what you mean and I am also to blame for this. When I re-read my statement it did sound like I was some arrogant kid. You had a right to be annoyed with my statement.
