Since I'm capable of importing weapons into FPSC successfully now,I can do something I've wanted to do for a long time.

So,let's get started :

Weapon 1.Flashlight (from the previous thread, requires WASP mod) Download thread

Weapon 2.The nailed bat everyone has been asking me if I'll ever finish

Nice work on these looking good, the only problem I can see and its not a big one if you going to make a lot of weapons is you should of used eai hands so its more compatable with other weapons.

I'm sure eai would of given you rights to release these because they good models.

Anyway very nice work on both models.

Unfortunately I don't have a source file (.max) of EAI's hands , which makes my job 100 times harder.I honestly prefer these hands over EAI's because they fit my style better.

EAI's hands are kinda perfect but I agree that these hands are vey well done too (are these the free ones from Daniel Wright?).

I also like, that there is more of the arm to beseen, not just the hands.

Keep up the good work!

These hands are made by Jonathan Fletcher and they can be downloaded freely from the forum. The hands I have made will not be used in this "project", as they are unique and most people wouldn't use them due to lack of compatibility with EAIs weapons. At least Jon's hands are more common and I know some people use them for their own projects.

Now on to the next weapon

Weapon 3.Knife

Download is in the first post!

These are awesome! Just wondering and I'm not trying to but you down, since I probably couldn't do better, but do you plan on updating the walk animation for the flash light? It just seems exaggerated, you might say.

Still, keep up the great work.

Yes,I have that noted on my to-do list. You don't have to choose your words carefully, the animation is very bad and it will be re-done.Especially the run animation.

Just beautiful weapons Gencheff! Tell me, are these custom anims. or do these hands come with animations?

Also quick Max question; Does this model come rigged in JF's DL or do you have to do it? And also, what format other than .X conserves animation (but can be imported to milkshape)?

Cheers,
Anayar

Fletchers are Max rigged with object representing bones. These are great hands to work with. Use them all the time for the custom ones I do.

As Myke stated, the hands come rigged without animations in .max format.

If you want to attach weapons you'll have to do some extra rigging.
The animations are custom and I use Panda Exporter to export everything to .X .

After you export it to .X if you wish to put them in Milkshape, download FragMOTION.It opens .x files and can convert the model with it's animation to a .ms3d file.

Gencheff thanks for the explanation, but I knew all that stuff

I was asking weather there was any other format which preserved animations other than .X?? I want to export from Max and import it into Milkshape or Fragmotion so I can rig in milkshape. Got any ideas?

Cheers,
Anayar

p.s: Sorry to spam your thread mate... let em know if i should take my questions elsewhere

I'm not quite sure but I think FragMOTION 1.xx supports FBX format. That should hold animations and bone structure as well, however if I'm not mistaking FBX doesn't support properly the Physique modifier, only Skin.

As it seems people have interest in the interactive hands, here's a little preview of level flooding.

NOTE* The animation does not correspond with the valve at all,I know, please don't bother pointing that out.It is originally intended for buttons.

Funny,I haven't been on MSN in a while either.

Here's a small update on the cinematic system.I've managed to make a swapable system and not screw up everything else in the player's inventory along the way.I've created a new animation for code systems. Now all I need to make is a jammed door force-open.

NOTE* Again, the valves do not correspond with the animations.

Erm, call me a noob if you must, but I don't quite exactly understand installation. You say "copy the files into gamecore/guns" What do you mean? Could you please give me a more detailed explination. Thankyou.

In your FPSC Files folder is another folder called gamecore, and within that another folder called guns. Put the files in the guns folder.

You need wasp mod for the flashlight to work and also your ambience level has to be low.

A bit of advice, remove that signature,it's way too big and annoying.

Either via script : ambience=x , where x is between 0 and 100 (lower is darker).

Or press < and > in test game.

The flashlight works fine for me,there could be a mismatch in keystates with your keyboard if it's not standard.

Hey Gencheff great stuff you got here!
Just a question i have after seeing the animations that are playied when you interact with the scene, does it lock the camera? or you can still move and the annimations would look out of place?
THanks and keep it up!
