Please tell me there is a tutorial for the tst app that comes with model pack 54. I have it in the right place. Programfiles(x86)\the game creators\fps creator. But I can't get it to work. The shortcut icon doesn't work, when I try and mix textures nothing happens. Not to mention it's pretty unclear how the whole thing is supposed to work. Anyone know of a manual or a tutorial that I can refer to?

The "TST app center" should be placed in the game creators\FPS Creator
and the TST Creator folder should be placed in the game creators\FPS Creator\files

And as far as I know I have supplied a document with tutorials.

But here it is:

Thanks cyborg. I have everything in the right place. However the short cut Icon brings up the box with the utilities but when I try and open one it says path not found bso I went to files/tst creator and tried to create a nsw. I went through the process described in the tutorial. I edited the buisness card in gimp to and saved it as " businesscard pickup_d2test.tga and saved it in the same folder I got it from. Nothing changes in game when I try using it. I tried changing the texture file to businesscard pickup_d2test.tga but nothing. Can you help? I've spent about a year getting to know fps, building "experiment levels" to learn how to design a fun shooter to play. I am almost finished with level 1. I just need to place the hints and such to tie up some loose ends. Thank you for taking the time.

Cyborg, your PATH file unzips in the wrong directory. It gets placed inside the files\TSTcreator but it only works if it's placed in the FPS Creator directory along with the TST App Center.exe. You should correct this.

Did it work after that?
What happens if you delete the path.txt and then run the "app center"? Where is the path.txt created?

Cyborg,

If that question was for me, no I can't get my custom business card to appear with the customizations(spelling) just the stock buisness card appears.

The NSW duplicator only creates a copy of for example the businesscard.
If you look into the gamecore/guns/The Scary Thinker, can you find a folder named as the NSW you created?
If you want to edit its texture you should overwrite the _D2 texture. Make sure that you only overwrite the texture in your newly created NSW folder.

Tell me if it helps.

Hi Cyborg

I have created 12 NS Weapons for my game using the programme. Although Explorer shows they are there in the folder, FPSC only sees the 12 folders. There is no image (bmp) associated with it. I created my own 64X64 bmp files but do not know how to let FPSC know that each belongs to a specific NSW.

Thanks

Eugene

Cyborg,

The file is not there. I'm doing something wrong when I save the custom file where should I save it?

Thats weird. But if you have created your own thumbnails you should save them in entitybank\The Scary Thinker\Weapons\Custom (if I dont remember it wrong) with the same name as the pickups .fpe
They will automaticly be associated with eachother.

Hope it help

What file is not there?

Your custom texture?

Make sure your run as administrator on your computer, and without the "Control of useraccounts" (dont remember the exact name).
Otherwise the computer will prevent you to save files anywere else then in your own documents.

Is that what you needed?

You should try to save the texture in gamecore\guns\The Scary Thinker\Weapons\"Your custom NSW"

Are you able to find that folder when not saving?
