hello, i just found this cool program here: http://www.mixamo.com/c/auto-rigger

I havent tried it out myself yet, but it looks pretty easy and might ease up animation for some people, as in trying out the meshes animation properties before rigging it for real, well i just thought i would share it with you people here x)

and for the record, I am a man.

Yeah, I've tried it out, works very well actually - Very overpriced though, even when using your own model.

I don't like it that much, instead of paying them $20 and up for 1 animation, i can pay TGC a little over $40 for much more animations than they could provide.

just got your attention, didn't i?

Thanks for your interest folks.

We're looking into a new pricing plan for the auto-rigger at this moment so keep tuned for more information on it.

As for the motion costs, it's not for everyone. Any normal trip to a mocap studio would cost upwards of 8-10 thousand dollars a day and that is without retargeting and time spent on clean up.

We offer you the ability to request your own custom animations and with a little wait time they are yours for as low as $5.50 a motion on subscriptions plans.

We're always adding new features so maybe one day we'll develop some serious tech you might just need.

Cheers!

Hey Mixamo3D -
I just tried the auto-rigger, and it's really cool. But, it's expensive. I have a base model that I would like to purchase animations for, but it's 90 bucks to get it rigged.

Well, I mean, it's cheap for what I'm getting, I'll give you that. But it's a model with 1,200 polygons. I can purchase a model made from you guys for less than that - automatically rigged and already to go - but you don't provide any stats with it. Even the non-pro ones look high-poly, and using a polygon reducer might ruin the animation.

It's six-of-one half dozen of another. The tool is incredible, but possibly priced too high for some of your target audience.

funnily how differently people think of this than me.....

I thought i could use it for free to simply check if the model is solid etc so i dont rig it in the 3d software unnecessarily x)

and for the record, I am a man.
