Hello Slayer267,

Sorry but I could not understand well exactly what is your problem because the voice audio is not very clear to me, though I would wanna know what is the level of ambient lighting in the scene you are using in your video (0, 5, 10, 25, 50, .. .)?

Another question is how many lights are on the scene in addition to ambient lighting.

Are there any shader effect applied on those entities in your map scene.

Regards.

The ambient was 100

Shader effects were on

and there were a few static lights but they're sort of hidden in the bushes...

Try putting a static light 10 levels above your ground. set its radius to 2500 and retest to see if you get anything at all.

Watched the video and it was hard to read the build part. Did it rebuild lightmapping??

Hello Slayer267,

Please, first of all, save your map with any name you want to not destroy your original map.

Next try to make these modifications in the renamed map and not in your original map because if something does not work your original map will be protected.

So, in your renamed map remove all the lights in your scene either static or dynamic ones.

Now just add just one STATIC white light at level 15 or 10 levels above the game level, and adjust the light range to 4000 and light color to fffff0 (Bluish), apply changes and test your level again.

If everything still dark, change the light that you just put from Static to Dynamic state and test your level again.

If all has failed turn off all shaders and again change your light to Static state and test your level again.

I hope this may help to solve your problem.

Cheers.

changing anything (as skybox) in the builder will reset your buildgame.ini and/or setup.ini of your buildgame in the language folder, sometimes setting off the effects on entities/segments. look there. happened often to me, too.

i believe that this will be the problem. lower it to below 20 and see if that works.

This worked but now my sounds that I made for the player are gone. Also you know how when you fall out of the map it stops at a certain point? Well it just keeps falling. My huds are also gone.

Hello Slayer267,

I'm glad to help you solve your lighting problem.

By the way, might you report what worked that was the solution for your problem?

reset the automatic floor to on (build game-editor).
same for the sound, you have to redefine it in the startmarker or the build game-editor. resetted to original player.

there was a reset with editing the skybox, i am sure

no, not that hard when you know where to search for that things. look at the right .ini (windows-search languagefolder, mainfolder ...) and buildgame-editor, then do the wanted changes and thats it.

IF it was just a reset

i think i will use that as a quote^^
