Looking forward to trying out the free modeller! I'd like to get back into modelling again and didn't really enjoy using any of the free ones currently available.

Thanks TGC!

3DCrafter SE is already available under My Products.

Unfortunately the MSI installer doesn't work under Windows 7 64bit.

Thanks to baxslash for the nice review of my game!
And it's even featured on the cover. Oh my god, it makes me feel so proud right now!
I need to get another one out for the TGC family real soon...

@mrniceguy, did you try removing the ".exe" from the end? I haven't yet but it might be required... odd if that's it though I guess.

@_Pauli_ it's a great game. Looks very nice on the cover!

Thanks for the tip!
After renaming to 3DCrafterTGC.msi I could install the program.

I think the .smi is for vista/7 and .exe for earlier windows... as far as I know .msi doesnt work on xp? could be wrong... but yeah kinda odd without explanation for this to be so... perhaps .msi isnt supported as a filename on the server? or something like that...

I will need a tut for this though, but massive thank you to TGC for getting us this opportunity and present

as uaual some amazing articles in the newsletter - keep it up

I hope I can contribute in the next.

@Mike Johnson

I have something to talk to the erm creator of the monthly newsletter I cant remember whether it was you or another member... I have poor memory today... but anyway I have something I would like to pit towards the community and feel it would be best to make it a part of the newsletter than being pasted across the forum... I am in fear of sparking another burn

Nevertheless I think it might make a great addition to the monthly Newsletter and will be a great work in progress to be kept track of, please urm hook me up.

It is regarding something I would like to possibly run past the community first to get their view on it possibly... I would like to move it forward rather than it being an idea on a wall.

Also I would like to share the credit along side with TGC so I hope to run it past Rick and Lee at some point... any help regarding this would be much appreciated

I have the DGS, but have not received an email(probably because I used a different account/email to order the DGS, don't remember). In order to receive the serial/link, who should I contact?

Try removing the ".exe" or ".msi" from the end of the filename. Ignore the warnings and make sure you have "Hide known file extensions" unticked in "Tools/Folder options" -> "View" Tab in windows explorer.

Did you try naming it:
1-"3DCrafterTGC.msi"

...and...

2-"3DCrafterTGC.exe"

?

Not sure if I was clear enough?

Thank you very much to Steve Vink and all the TGC team for choosing MPL3D picture as the sample for the TGC screenshot Gallery.

I really think that the TGC Gallery is a great place to post your project pics and link them to your YouTube videos and TGC forum threads, so I encourage everyone to do so.

Regarding the new ADG website (http://adg.devink.co.uk/), please feel free to add 'MPL3D Solar System (Quantum)', as it is already published in the Intel AppUp store: http://www.appup.com/applications/applications-MPL3D+Solar+System+%28Quantum%29
Best luck with this.
[Edit: The above link doesn't work here in the forums because of the '%' but it works if you paste it in the browser]

Thanks again. Cool newsletter, as always!

@Morcilla, I will add you to the list of members of the ADG if that's OK and if you wish to get an account to add your game to the ADG site we will provide one as soon as we are ready to start passing accounts out to developers (very soon). If I get time I'll happily add it myself but we want to try to get as many people posting their own games as possible just to encourage participation more than anything else. Welcome aboard!

Shouldn't the download link for 3D crafter come with a serial code?

On my dad's "my product section" the serial code is missing.

Ok, I bought it the DarkBasic Pro bananza and I was able to run 3D crafter with no problems on Windows 7 - 64 But. But I had to rename the file to "3DCrafterTGC.msi". It installs just fine. As for the code, this is a free version that you download. So not sure why I got a key with it. I entered the key for it and nothing change. It didn't even acknowledge my key. So either this free version is just that, free, and the code is useless.. or I have not received a real full version yet until my package comes in the mail. Which I look in my list and there is no full version of this. So I'm confused why there is a key / serial for this.

It says i'm supposed to have the Special Edition ( 3D Crafter Special Edition ( SE ) ) but the one you get when you get your software is the freeware version. So i'm confused on this myself.

But, it DOES work in Windows 7 - 64 Ultimate Edition.

UPDATE : SCRAPP WHAT I JUST SAID. Sorry for caps, I just wanted to make sure everyone could see that I updated this post. I just restarted the program and now its showing correctly. I had the program up all this time and I didn't realize I should restart for the serial to take effect. My bad.. lol

So, anyhow.. yea.. this is working great. Thanks guys.. TGC RULES !!!

Yes @cyril it does but it is sent to you via email. You had better ask your dad to check his email for the serial code.

Great read as usual, guyz! And thanks so much for the 3DCrafter!
However, I do have a little problem with it. It seems that my version is the freeware edition (which doesn't allow to save your models), and there's no serial code to be found, not by email, not on my account page.
I bought the Dark Game Studio and not the Bonanza deal. Is this why I dont have a serial key to upgrade?

[EDIT]
Wooooooooow, you guyz work fast! Only a half hour after I posted this, you've sent me the serial key! Thanks so much! Whooooooooohooooooooo!

Does anyone know the licence on the special edition of 3DCrafter? I've seen some software that doesn't let you use the models created commercially or distribute them to the general public.

@baxslash, thank you very much. Just let me know the needed steps for joining ADG site, and I'll be happy to follow them.
You are doing a great job with all the AppUp related stuff.
Oh, and thanks for the link fixing
