Hey!

What is the difference between 3D Crafters Professional and 3D Crafters Special Edition?

Also how would you compare 3D Crafters to Blender?

I was able to find the differences between version of 3D Crafters at http://www.amabilis.com/onlineregistration.htm. Now i'm just puzzled about what version is 3D Crafters Special Edition; honestly I think it's 3D Crafters Plus.

For individuals who couldn't get the 3D Crafters SE download from 'My Products' to work try downloading 3D Crafters SE from http://www.amabilis.com/downloads/3DCrafter91.msi.

3D Crafter used to be 3DCanvas. It's always kept a low profile, but seems to have loyal users in the modding community (especially rail-road sims).

Blender has become a beast in recent years, and even the UI looks much improved after the 2.5x re-write. It has amazing modeling, rigging and rendering and even includes a game engine. The focus on hot-keys and lack of context sensitive menus is a downside for me though. (Very hard to learn from a tutorial when nearly every action requires a keypress!) 3D Crafter always looked like a fairly easy way to get most basic things done quickly, so it depends on how many things you need your 3D program to be good at. I still use Wings for modeling, but that is also all it does.

3d Crafter install Problem

i would not download the broken one from the TGC store, But visit here
http://www.amabilis.com/downloads.htm

Download the lates 9.1 free version , install and then enter your serial code, and it upgrades it to the Special Edition on

it then ask's you to restart it, And that it you have the lates version and all installs ok and your ready to go.
