You have banned a good member for a year for a stupid minute reason. There was apsolutly no need to ban him for a year. Yet others who do worse than the good man Zwarte gets a week ban. This is stupid. I urge all other members to protest against this ban, And dont troll, Flame or likewise, its just childish.

Anayar you said that you shew zwarte peit to model. I think thats a lie? I think we all know all taught him. So please let zwarte back on. He is a good guy.

if you dont unban him then you have lost a good and valuable guy from not only the forums but FPSC all together. No more free models from him. Nothing. he gave you loads and you just ban him for a week for a petty reason. Unfair

Perhaps, but that wont work. I want to bring this out in the open. I have nothing against the members of the TGC forums or the Mods, its just annoying to see a good member banned for petty reasons

I feel the mods are a little harsh on this site/forums.. (oh i feel a ban coming XD) But it's kind of true.. I mean banning someone for a year is really dumb. It would just piss me off more than teach me anything. But i can't really do anything about it, since im not a mod -___-

But i do agree, he should not be banned (at least not for a year..)

Did you even see the message that he typed that earned him that ban in the first place (if that is in fact why this ban was issued)? It was completely uncalled for (considering the other guy was simply providing constructive feedback), and broke about 3 or 4 AUP violations in the process.

If you were put into Anayar's place, would you feel the same as you do now? I don't think that vulgar comments should be allowed anywhere, whether it be on the internet or in the real world. Even though he made models for the community, which I think many appreciate, comments like what he made are just morally wrong, and the Mods are the ones that make the decision on whether or not it is beneficial to ban or not. They are smart people, they know what's best for the community as a whole.

Nothing good will come from this. All that will happen is those that openly berate/challenge/question the moderators actions will end up on a vacation themselves. Besides, the moderators don't owe any explanation- they do their job.

All this does is invite more flame wars. And this is why some of us older members grow tired and stop giving out free media. We find other places that are more- shall we say- user-friendly.

I'm not going to ban someone for defending themselves against the tirade that was thrown on them; not fair in my book at all.

What's done is done; starting up a thread like this will lead to punitive measures in the future.

By the way...he isn't even banned anymore; it was only for a week. So explain to me why you started this thread for no reason?

Erm...You seem prone to exaggeration. To be honest you arent even close to getting banned with what youv'e done so far. Though I am sure you feel your living on the edge, its takes a lot more than having one locked thread.
When you post like this it sounds like you want fame or infamy....whatever.
Mods around here are very good at keeping order and dont ban someone for no reason. But if you feel happy with your own forums (I count two members, one of them yourself)then feel free to leave here any time you please.
Personally I prefer to post something useful to other members of this forum than just voice my opinion on things I know nothing about which seems to be the case for a few in this thread.

Do not get me wrong, but in recent weeks I have seen a series of complaints, attempt at intimidation and provocations of some member of this forum against the moderators. I'm not a lawyer defending any moderator of this forum also actually I do not know any of them except for their post, and I don't want to judge who is right or wrong in this issue.

However I ask you, someone has had the opportunity to read any post on forums out there without moderators?

No? Well, I'll describe what happens: Verbal abuse, personal insults, bad language, intimidation, bullying, racism, discrimination of all kinds, infamy, among other terrible things which I will not mention here.

In short, forum without moderators is a territory without law and without order.

However, moderators can also make mistakes too, of course they do, after all are human beings not machines.

So I understand that one of the tasks of moderators is to keep things on track in this forum, so that the order be preserved and the rules of conduct as well to avoid that this forum to become a land without law and without order.

Well, all I have to say is this thread was totally uncalled for. If you saw his comment you obviously would not be posting this (then again, maybe you would)...

I took a lot of insults from an immature member of this forum and there was no need to remind me off that. I was always taught to forgive, and this is no different. I dont hold grudges for any reason, let alone spewing hate on an internet forum. Ive really had enough of you people... I think i know how Seth Black felt atm.

I was the moderator who banned Zwarte Peit, and yes, it was only for a week. To be honest he got off lightly because generally he is a helpful forumer and from what I have seen doesn't normally act in that way. So rather than being harsh, I took into account that usually he is helpful and put it down to having a bad day, we all have them. Even so the attitude in the thread was disgusting as were some of his posts.

Also I posted in the thread itself, there was no secret as to who banned him, and no secret as to how long it was. The ban ended on the 20th July so he has had plenty of time to come back. If I moderate you, you will know because I will post when I do so.
I will continue to moderate in the same way I always have done. My email address is not hidden, it's at the bottom of all my posts, and it's also in the sticky thread, so if he had a problem he could have emailed me.

People choose not to email because they would rather do something like this and make it a public debate to show how awful the mods are.

I might not always reply straight away to your emails either. I live in Australia so I'm not in the same time zone as many of you.

I'm pretty new here, but from what I recall...

Anayar gave a constructive criticism to a post...that's the key word...CONSTRUCTIVE...

Then this guy Zwarte Piet just comes out of nowhere and says stuff like dude should die and wishing bad stuff to Anayar, making death threats, swearing, and the like.

Now, in my opinion, Anayar was VERY PROFESSIONAL in his response to Zwarte. Sure, he could have stooped to his level, but Anayar kept it professional and simply stated that if Zwarte continues the bashing, he would have to answer to his (Anayar's) lawyer.

That's it.

I know that Zwarte is related to a guy on here that unfortunately passed away before I came on board...Heltor. From my understanding, Heltor was a GREAT ASSET to this forum. I would have loved to have met the man myself.

But, Zwarte was completely out of line. So, I 150% agree with the mod's decision to ban him for x amount of time. And, no, the mods SHOULD NOT ban Anayar. He didn't do anything wrong.

Zwarte gave free models. So what!? It doesn't give him the right to do what he did to this Anayar fellow.

Anayar, I give you kudos on how you handled the situation.

If it were me, I would have a life ban on here...

...and you guys would be attending Zwarte's funeral.

I don't play with death threats. If you're going to talk it, be about it and come get dealt with. I promise you if he came at me like that, he would NEVER make that mistake again.

Period.
