I made these models - quick and dirty - to test out whether or not I like this texturing style. Simple colors, little shading, and black lines.

Any feedback? I'm trying to go for a cartooney-look for my program.

to me it feels more simple-retro than cartoony. the mesh itself should probably have some exaggeration to pull in a cartoony feel. rounded edges, stylized proportions, more color and less pattern

I'm basing it off of Jet Grind Radio - a Dreamcast game that I've always loved. I was able to rip some textures from the game, and they're essentially like this - limited, exaggerated colors with simplistic shapes
