Make sure you are using the latest version of DB. The old one suffers with this bug on windows 7 sp1.

I get this error sometimes when I hit compile before closing the application, and then when I do close it I continue to get the error because a .PAK file (or something or other) got left in the folder of the .EXE. Just throwing that out there, might help

i am using the new version with the new editor. same no exe error

I was getting this frequently when I was using a folder that was syncing to dropbox... The DBPro compiler was having a difficult time deleting the PAK and EXE files, so I just did it manually.
After this became quite a nuisance I just started using a different non-synced folder that is periodically backed up, not instantaneously.
