I'm planning on making a fpsc game that's pretty much purely based on comedy. Is there any ideas on what I could include in the game? I'm open to most ideas, no matter how crazy, so if you have any, please don't hesitate to post them

Help is much appreciated.

Example:




...........well I haven't got one, look into some other famous and funny quotes and edit them to match your game.

Okay thanks, I'll look into that one. I was also aiming at stuff like level design and gameplay, is there any ideas for objectives or gameplay or similar that'd be good?

FPS means First Person Shooter. Shooting means killing.

In my opinion that doesn't mix with comedy - unless you can enlist people like Quentin Tarantino, Roberto Rodriguez or Guy Ritchie as authors for your game.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

I think it's a good idea. I would just advise that you need to be obvious with the comedy. Innuendo doesn't work well, and timeless comedy isn't. Stick to slapstick and stupid humor.

That aside, I would think that you need to be a funny guy to make a comedic game, so if you have to ask how to be funny, you probably won't make a good comedic game.

I actually did have some ideas of my own, I just wanted to see if I was heading in the wrong direction to be honest, or if there's anything I've missed. So yeah, I'll probably just stick with what I know then.

I thought Duke Nukem Forever was pretty funny so you should look at that for comedy ideas in an FPS.

Anyway, I agree that funny quotes would work well, but if you're going for strait comedy, like Xplosys said, slap stick would be the best.

I have an idea if you want it to be an fps game then have the bad people be an average clown....NOT a creepy cown, but a clown you would see at a circus, have them holding water guns.... also a clown car would be an idea.... and have it a a theme park

I would advise against it...it just doesn't work together with fpscreators system and in a game like this, you are usually letting the details slide a bit which will most likely end up in a bad game.
