Hi there...I have use for long mapcape and I have made good levels with it. Now I download last Update 1-8-2011 to see what was new in this last version. I have been fiddling around to guess where to edit faces in this version ,because when I go to Edit/face a pop up menu appears but it doesn't let me change texture. Have someone tested this last Update ?

Cheers

The reason why I would like to edit faces separately,is in order to import objects made in other programs as meshes. The old version May-2010, it works fine. I use other programs for that purpose. Now the tools bar changed a bit.

Hi chafari, I hadn't used the latest version yet but after a little playing with it I found that if you click the face button, select a face then click the 'paint' button shown below (2) it works:

That is how it works in old version...fine, but not in new version

In last version I can't select faces separately, just the whole object. There must be something wrong in it.

I just downloaded the new version and that's how I got it to work.

After the window pops up select the face, then click the paint button (make sure you change the texture in the texture pane first).

You can see I'm using the new version from my image

@baxslash
When you go to Edit/Face ... does faces change to red indicating it is selected?? . In old version, when we go to edit/face, we just need to pass over the face with mouse and it change to red ...then you can asign texture. In this new version I can't select faces . I'm using windows Vista

Must the object be selected first ? Do I have to press any key and select with mouse ? it old version it was so easy

Cheers.

No, I had to click on a face after pressing the "Edit Face" button.

No

1-Make a cube (or whatever)
2-Select a new texture
3-Click the "Edit Face" button
4-Click on a face
5-Click the "Paint" button

That's it. I'm on Vista too

The management of the program is obvious, that is exactly what I'm doing ...just a simple cube . That confirms to me that for some mysterious reason, in my rubbish laptop doesn't work.
