Sorry this has probably been asked before...How do I get rid of that "computer noise" in the background? I get it every time I start/test a level.

Can you be a little more specific? What do you mean "computer noise"?

Try going here:
The Game Creators\FPS Creator\files\languagebank\english\gamebank\mygame\

Open up setuplevel.fpi with notepad (or something like that). And try to find main.wav. I don't know if all of that is right, im not on my FPSC computer so im just guessing from memory..

Change that that to whatever you want, or just remove main.wav and then there should be no more sound

Im sorry if all of that is not right, as i said im doing this off of memory..

I usually open the languagebank\english\gamebank\mygame\setuplevel.fpi and change this line

to this (added a semi-colon to the front of the line to comment it out)

Yes, you were on the right track. But I showed the line and how to comment it out, in case this person was not sure how to do so.

I just delete the sound, it's irritating.

It's pretty much standard in all film and video to add "room noise" or white noise in the background, even in silent scenes. Studies showed that it felt unnatural when there was a complete absence of sound.

Close your eyes and listen. You hear the buzz of a light, drone of the AC, a lot of tones we tune out.

But yeah, I delete that sound too and put in my own stuff. The sound is there for a reason tho.

Oh man... so i did a test launch of a game I've been working on for quite some time now. The testers asked me... "what is that loud purrrring cat sound?"

This would be the default sound during main title screen and loading screens. I plan to now just record a room for nature background noise with a more seemless loop.

I have a question actually... what is "soundscale" in the script?

It changes the 3d sound by percentage so lower the number the less 3d sound u will have.
