hey everybody, I've been hit by the painting bug recently and I just thought I'd start a thread in here instead of polluting 3d chat.

What do you work with?

If these are pencilcolors and you are smoothing them with the eraser...you are pretty good at that...if you are using a tablet, nevermind!

I'm 99,9 % sure that you mirrored the image. Never do that!

In theory, one brain side dominants one side of the face. As both sides control completely different parts of your being. However, I don't want to get esoteric on your sketchbook... so I let images explain:

You can do it with a portrait of yourself...its fun and looks scary. So yeah, my point is: Never mirror an image. You can redo the piece and you will see that it looks much more natural without mirroring.

Its a pretty good idea to use your bluring technique on the body itself, but don't use it on the eyes.

Other than that, its a good start!
