Hi,

I have a game I am writting and I want to write some code to check the version folks have is the current one by checking a file on my game's website i.e. version.dat for example, containing just a version number i.e. 110811a

Note sure what code to use to interogate a file on a website and then to compare the data. I want to then be able to prompt a message to download a new version etc.

Any help appreciated.
