Requirements

Need an effective method of creating LoD on a mesh / object

Need to be able to apply heightmap to this mesh / Object and update it every time the LoD changes or shifts on the mesh / Object

Need to also be able to rotate this mesh in order to morph it into a 6th of a sphere.

All the research i have done has led me to believe you can easily create terrain mesh / matrix.. you can apply heightmaps and alter verts but cannot rotate these mesh in DBPro.

The only method of LoD i can also seem to think of is sub dividing certain points of the mesh which i dont believe you can do with DBPro.

Any thoughts of direction with this one?

You can subdivide the mesh using the vertexdata commands, I've only just learnt how to use them myself, so I can't provide an example. But you should take a look.
