You can make a trick with the texture . Here's an example with poor texture, you can add yours.

I do use the standard set shadow on, it is not the best solution, but I haven't had the time to use other techniques around.

taked up this project after some months... used a photoshop shadowes texture... looks ok. Chafari tecnique ok.
