I am programming a small game in Tier 1 and at the same time Tier 2.
(weird I know but I feel like it )
I am at the point in my code where I would like to see it run on a netbook.

So I copy the player files over and run the Windows batch file and ... ... nothing.
Forever standby

I have an up and running WiFi connection and the netbook is connected right next to me

Any advice on how to get this working?

Cheers!

Make sure there's an exception in Windows firewall for the player.

Some people have had trouble if the hosting machine is part of multiple networks (through multiple network adapters).

Also check that your router does not have a "wireless isolation" mode turned on, which would stop wireless clients seeing each other.

@KISTech, forgot to mention I have sorry.
@Paul Johnson, good information, my host machine does have 2 other networks. (Hamachi and Virtualbox)

I will try and get rid of them and get back to you with results.

EDIT: No avail. It's still stuck on 'Standby'.

Max
