Hi, KISTech. I figured since you wouldn't listen in the other thread, you would listen here.

I need simply ONE question answered from you.

How do I make the camera stop AUTOMATICALLY moving?

I have redone your ENTIRE code to be more easy to handle for people.

Thanks!

This line positions the camera. Took me half a minute to look through the code, I'm sure you could've done that yourself.

That's NO help when the camera is moving by ITSELF.

Remove the line, and the camera won't move.

Removed, and lo and behold, it STILL mysteriously moves by itself o.O

Oh, apologies. Remove the move camera command on the line below, too.

It's not that I'm not listening. Like I said in the other thread, I simply don't have the time. I make games, and am trying to make a living at it. I have 2 games that are being polished for publishing to app stores, and are being ported to as many platforms as I can get the AppGameKit to produce. I have another 2 projects waiting for me to get back to them and do the same thing.

I could have just written the code you needed for the terrains in about an hour, but as I've mentioned before, that wouldn't teach you anything, and the code is likely already posted in other threads for other projects. You just have to go and look for it, and then be able to understand it.

Why? There was nothing wrong with it. It worked just fine the way it was.

Undo the changes you made. In my original code it didn't do that.

Go back to the original code I wrote and study that. Study it until you understand exactly what every line does. Follow the logic of the program, and you'll learn so much more than the way you are doing things now.

I redid it because your math variables were driving me CRAZY. I want ALL sizes of the map / image controlled using 1 or 2 variables rather than, 256, 16, 15.. etc..

Like I said, it didn't do that before, so you need to fix what you changed.

I simply don't have the time to debug something you changed in my working code. That's up to you to do.

Here is the current working code.

Um, Kistech?

What's with the HORRIBLE seams in the attached picture? You can't have an infinite terrain if you have seams you can LITERALLY fall through.

It's a bug in BlitzTerrain that I've been begging Kaedroho to fix.

He describes it as a difference in the way the LOD routine handles the edges of a terrain. He's always had a problem of one kind or another with the terrain edges since the project started. So it's probably going to be something he'll fix in a rewrite later if he ever comes back to the project.
