what are the edge and shade images surposed to be if i have say a chair and i want it cartoon shaded blue what would i have to as my images

if I do this my knight model gets all black and get huge spikes and actualy turns into a black spiky blob :p

Bren, that's something like what happens on my computer when I attempt cartoon shading. I think it's just because my graphics card is old, and doesn't support cartoon shading.
