ive been trying to make my first gun for a while now and the part that im stuck on is moving the gun down to the hand, i doesnt work so i tryed just connecting the guns bones and the hands and when i clicked animation it stretches the gun and stuff. thanks

If the meshes are welded together and the bones are associated with that mesh, ya it will transform the entire mesh 'cause it thinks that's what you want.

Did you do "weld all" on the whole thing? If so, you need to break it apart of go back to a version before you did that. Perhaps you can perform the weld all operation after you have done the animations but I'm not certain that wouldn't result in the same thing.

i model with anim8or and then covert it with blender then i animate with fragmotion so i didnt do the modeling in fragmotion
