Hello!
I want to present my game maker for Darkbasic Professional. It currently does not have many features, but time to time...
The progress of the project is very slowly because I have not so much free time, I'm very busy, sorry. The idea for this project is that the user can create a complete game in it, you can also program your game into the editor, the idea is that in a future, this has a script editor, with the code of DBpro and own functions. You can compile your project from the editor (not now) and you can to make all from the editor.

I was working on another editor, but that editor was much more slow than that, and the interface was more limited and difficult for the user. You can see the old editor here: http://www.darkbasic.es/foros/viewtopic.php?t=1398 (the spanish comunity)
The new editor is much, much faster, the interface load much faster and it is easier for the user. It has less features than the old editor (for now!), but the new features are more advanced and intuitives.
The idea is not easy, I have had many problems with the editor, the synchronization between the application and 3d engine is not easy, but I can with it for now.
In the video, you can see how you can change the object properties, it still has some bugs. The information of the properties is received a bit slowly for now, but I can change it if I want, it is easy, but for now is just for testing. The camera movement is very primitive and basic for the moment, I want to create a navigation system with the mouse and the keys "A, D, W, S".
The program is for now in Spanish (English for later). I don't know if I will be able to finish the project in the future because my time is very limited and I have other projects, but I will try it!

Oh! and the project will be free!

Comments, suggestions or criticism?

EDIT: I have created a new video with a good resolution, you can see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ba3AdlHQil8

Thanks!

There is no such thing as "can to"... English is not my mother language, but was still annoying to read not once.

@Quel

"Let them know that you can, to make them aware of the implications"

There's a sentence that it works in There IS such a thing! DarkSoul's first language probably isn't English, so why don't you give him a break.

Sorry if you can't understand my english but, I think that my English is good enough, my best problem with English is that sometimes I don't know how to explain somethings, anyway, don't you have anything better to do criticized my writing?
Anyway, I have corrected some mistakes from the main text.

Come on guys, some support for me and for this project, is not easy and I don't get anything back with it, it is free for all user, the idea is for simplified the development, I think it's a good idea!

It looks good! You are talking to programmers though, so they don't get excited about easy game making. Applying textures could be good though. It is hard to find the right limbs. Somebody should make an easy Normal Mapping program. I don't see why nobody has done that yet.

@Quel
You were clever by half saying that comment . From now on, you have to be careful with your spelling.

Cheers.

Really interesting start. Very nice looking interface!

Sorry to perpetuate the off topic discussion but I couldn't help but enjoy the irony here:

...the intended meaning is understandable but the grammar is incorrect. Which is perfectly OK!

When someone is hard to understand let them know nicely.

Thank you very much!

Well, I'm working in the program very short time, so the date for beta release is unkown for now. I think that when I'm working in it, I progress a lot. For example, in the last day, the program had not implemented the properties, just the properties interface, but in the same day I have programed the drag and drop system for the texture, the position, the rotation, the scale, the mode (ghost, culled and transparent) and the collision system from the properties. Now works it with some bugs, but when I fix the current errors, I will to create the 3d gizmos for the move, rotate and scale the objects in real time from 3d view. Slowly but with good steps!
For now the collision system is the default collision of DBpro, but surely later I will implement support for sparky collisions, and maybe the support for some DBpro plugins.

Thank you again!

@Pincho Paxton
Do you refer to a program for create the normal map? If is it, you can create the normal map with Gimp with a plug-in: http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Normal_Map_Creation_in_The_GIMP

You can do it with Photoshop as well, but I meant automatically generate the normal map. Load a 3D model, and texture, and then it just makes a normal map, and saves it. It's not that hard, you just make the texture B/W, adjust the height on screen, and then you need to convert the B/W to the right colours for a normal map.

Looks good. One question, what are you using to create your GUI? If you have any problems with limb hierarchy , you should look at this post.
http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=183215&b=1

We posted a dll which repairs the objects hierarchy after it is loaded in DBPro. There is a confirmed bug that DBPro mess up the hierarchy of an object when loaded.

@Stab in the Dark software
About the user interface, the program is being developed in C# and the interface has been create in it. The program works on synchronization with an application writen in DBpro. I think this is the best way for a level editor or in this case, a game maker. I have create some tests in DBpro with a own level editor, and when I create many functionalities, the frame rate down, but with this editor, the performance is very good because many operations are done from C#, the engine only need to work with the objects, textures... and read/write some files.

Thank you for the info! I'm working with the limb at this moment for the obtain some information, but I see that this don't work very well, anyway I have to make some tests.

Thanks to all!
