An updated version of AppGameKit is now available. You can find this download within your order history. It's advisable to uninstall your current version before installing the new files. Changes include:

Fixed Samsung and Meego for Box2D
Fixed iOS and Mac for Box2D
Fixed windows for latest Box2D
Added new Box2D fixes
Added INTERPRETER_APPUP for standalone AppGameKit Player for Windows AppUp
Fixes up to 1.0.3.4 (interpreter/compiler/IDE)
Fixed ray cast bug number 2
Fixed ray cast bug
Basic listing added for GetOrientation
Few changes for command listings relating to input.
SetPrintColor had an incorrect parameter listing. This has been fixed.
Correction for GetNetworkMessage reference listing.
Fixed manual polygon shapes
Fixed physics scale bug
Improved fixes to AppGameKit Player in relation to media folder and other small crashes in 1.0.2.8 version
Fixed compiler issues and allowed Windows AppGameKit Player to detect full size of desktop
Removed Whole Program Optimization from lib settings
More compiler fixes for next build.
Fixed MEDIA folder issue on Windows, required for T1
Fixed AAC playing bug
Restored Paul's MEDIA FOLDER fix - Windows T2 no longer need the media folder.
Added additional error message to mp3 loading on windows to prevent crashing
Fixed PlaySprite with no parameters
Added SetSpriteCollideBit and fixed some of the help parameters
Added GetWritePath() function
Fixed val command with empty string
Added checks for missing mp3 files and replaced with platform dependent format
compiler has new command line -bct to compile and broadcast without running locally.
For now, restored MEDIA folder so T1 examples and player work for Windows. Need to decide this one...
Fixed UTF8 bug - compiler eats up all UTF8 characters before sending final source code for parsing.
Fixed Lower() not keeping existing lowercase chars
Changed from "media" to root as the base directory for windows
Spelling mistake in GetSoundInstances and GetSoundsPlaying.
Updated project settings for Tier 2 including new VS_2010 folder (also works with Express).

It was downloading quite slowly for me earlier, so it could be the TGC servers are suffering.

Oh, for the next version, is it possible to get the version number put into the Help -> About screen please? Much easier to figure out what version you have if it explicitly states it rather than just giving you a build date.

Hmmm. Hate to say it but is it not possible to just have a patch?
Not a whole re-download?

Well, in any case, looks like a good list of features. Downloading now...
Have mercy on my crappy university internet.

We are looking into a patch system that will only update the necessary files, but it's not quite ready. We need to spend some time testing it and making sure that it's all okay. In the meantime giving out a large installer is probably the safest option to ensure everyone can obtain all the fixes.

If we copy the IDE folder from the Windows install, all over the Mac install and overwrite the existant folder, will it work, or is it not that simple?

Just a quick question.

do you know if the Xcode3 templates changed in any way from the first release to the 1036version?

No changes to the Xcode 3 / 4 templates and examples. The main changes for Tier 2 were updated libraries and fixes for Visual Studio.

Indeed now I can create a RELEASE version and the MEDIA folder limitation is gone! GREAT!

If only you could make the creation of the folder in My Documents optional, or expose it in CORE.cpp, so that one can switch it off if they don't need to use the joystick or other embedded images, and maybe even switch off linking with libimages (and get a smaller exe)

Why is there a "Sources" folder in the IDE when nothing else appears under the root folder anyway? Seems a bit redundant and more than a little annoying to me.

The Sources folder is to contain your code for the moment. In the future, your projects will include media, icons, sounds, layouts, data, e.t.c. you name it. Best we establish a hierarchy from day one. We might be able to auto-expand these sub-group folders if there is enough interest in this for the IDE.
