Sorry for asking, but I can't find the answer anywhere.

I was able to find the .x and .dbo files for the fpsc media, but when I load them in dbpro the textures aren't there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You also have to find the texture files.

That's very true. You can't do that on here as you'll get booted off.

Just put the .dds texture files for the models in the same folder as the .x file. When you load the .x file it'll be textured with the .dds files so long as you haven't renamed either of them.

Alternatively, you can just load in the .dds files with LOAD IMAGE and use the TEXTURE OBJECT commands to apply to image to the object as a texture. Very simple.

I am not looking for anything as a sick bird (illegal) I just looking for a way to do it. When I use a .x file and a texture file it looks like it is not rendering the transparency. For around the leafs. The texture has a black background. When I load it in a paint program the black is not there.

You need to USE "SET OBJECT TRANSPARENCY", then define the object number and set the flag to 1.

If the texture uses a particular colour to represent transparency (such as magenta, or RGB(255, 0, 255)) then you need to use the SET IMAGE COLORKEY command to tell DBpro which colour is being used as transparency.

@cumquat: I tried using load bitmap with the texture but when I use the texture object command my program gets stalled on the loading screen...no idea why

I'll try using the set object transparency, thanks a lot for all of the advice.

Just to let you know, the model pack I'm using is the zombie apocalypse one

Edit: Nevermind...I despise vista. For some reason whenever I ran the game it popped up "this program has stopped working"

I restarted it and it works fine now, thanks everyone!!!! Time for some zombie filled adventure

hmmmm....I'm pretty sure there is a way to bring them into 3dws if you use the .x format, but I don't think the texture will be applied. Maybe if you drop it in the prefab folder? At any rate, I manually place all my objects like trees and entities inside dbpro by printing out the x,y,z.
Maybe I'll try to make a level editor for just that, that would be pretty fun and greatly increase productivity.

@Mychal B That would be good. I wouldn't know where to start. I did get it to work in 3DWS but when you export it. Eveything takes on the same object number. I find that 3DWS is good for creating terrain and painting them. I gave up on doing anything eles with it.
