Has anyone bothered to make or collect a massive list of all the commands, help files, examples, information, everything-officially-or-unofficially-useful, etc for ALL of DarkBasic Pro AND all of its component parts?

I basically want the help files that DBPro has, but for all the other programs. Its really annoying how woefully incomplete the official knowledge base for all of these programs is. Can somebody please hook me up with a holy grail of all relevant DBPro (and all of its official add-ons and packages) information?

I can!!

It's here: http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum#1

Seriously though, have you ever had a problem that couldn't be solved here? Anything I couldn't find in the help files I've found here...

I'd like a list of all the commands etc as well. When I first got DB you got a book with it, and the book was always in front of me. It would be ace to print everything out, and have it handy. Quicker than pressing F1.

That's great for the basics but what's being asked for here is "all relevant DBPro (and all of its official add-ons and packages) information?"

I don't think my desk would take the weight... and I built my desk really well

if you know DB then you should know how to start DBpro.

I underlined "if" and "then" for you.

What has starting DBPro got to do with it? RTFM may be a swear word, but it would be a good thing to be able to do.

Was that post meant for another thread or did you just put your coffee down on the "random" button basjak?

it means that Disrupter52 already knows DB. so, it will not be difficult for him to start DBpro.

if & Then are part of DB and DBpro commands. come on guys, that isn't a difficult puzzle.

@Disrupter52. DBpro is very easy language, the difficult question is: "what is your next project."

There must be 200 commands for DBPro if you include its addons... at least. Newton Physics.. Sparky's collision, all those. Maybe somebody could write a program to go through all of the ini files, and somehow put the links in a text editor for printing out.

the amount of add-ons commands is far greater than 200. you or he must build your own command list to get on with the language.

add on commands come to help the programmer easing his job but, you can do everything with the core commands that originally built within DBpro.

you should never worry about the add ons at this stage. for a start, stick yourself with "hands on dark basic 1 & 2" plus the forum.

I bet you will be a game maker in three to four month time. it happened to me and am sure it can happen to you.

I feel like that number is probably over 2000 Pincho.

And basjak, i think you're right, i have a fairly ambitious idea in mind, and its always there, its my baby, and i dont want to let it go. Its also really distracting and i think i need to ease up a little bit with what i want to do.

Actually, come to think of it, i JUST started using Dark Physics just to try to get better collisions and only really for stairs. I have stayed pretty vanilla. I really want a copy of 1 & 2, but i dont have $100 to spend on them. I wasnt sure how useful the whole thing would be, so i tested with it, then bought it, so now im trying to figure it out before i go and spend even more on it. Which is a shame cause i feel like those books are like 100% key to everything.

Haha, well... last time I checked, there were a good number of commands that were included in DBPro but didn't have documentation included. Cloth physics? Advanced Terrain? other stuff?

Hello,

The answer to the original post, is hopefully in my signature.

Unfortunately, I can't do this alone though, as it's a big ongoing job!

Cheers,
BFM
