So jeez I started visiting this forum back when I was a freshman in high school and now I'm a college senior about to finish up my CS degree. It's been a while since I was last here, what's been going on?

I managed to publish a game on the Xbox Indie Game Store and made about $170 whooooooo...

That storefront didn't work out so well.

IDK just kinda bored and feeling some nostalgia.

We're still alive. The newest coolest program by TGC is the App Game Kit where you can easily make apps for phones. Next time I get paid I'm getting it.

There is loads with the same date as me (date that this version of the forum was introduced). I started mid-2000 and there was *loads* here then. Ok, so most of them have left under a haze of hatred and betrayal, but some still exist! There are even a few from 2 decades ago (ie. <2000).

Yeah, that market kind of sucks from what I've heard. I'd hesitate to publish any game on there because there's so much junk that can hardly be considered games. However, another team from a group I'm in at UCI recently published a fairly simple but well-done game there that caught on and has sold about 5000 copies.

Still, kind of nice to be published .

Yeah and then I did a lot with XNA for a while then got bored of it, so I moved on to basically not doing much of anything. Then did a semester of advanced game design and development where I used irrlicht and determined it's pretty awful but I got a cool prototype out of it. Here's a video:

Then I moved over to Ogre for a bit and I think it's really promising and I'm looking to go down that path a bit more in the future but at the moment I'm working on my Unity skills as I have a studio class in the spring that's going to be focusing on Unity.

Hmm, Ogre, huh? I love XNA, the only thing I dislike about it is that doing anything in 3D is a huge pain.

I like that platformy game, neat idea.
