I have found out that universe.ele is the file that tells the .dbo file where to find all of the texture files for the FPSC level. Now how on earth to I edit this file? Notepad has crazy symbols so I'm guessing it's encrypted somehow.

Thanks in advance! - Qqite

You cannot.
This file is generated when building your level.
I would also not know why on earth you would like to change something inside.
And the textures are also saved on the universe.dbo itself. Just not the shader maps.

Sorry but incorrect. The .dbo calls on the other files to find the textures. The .dbo does not hold any information on the textures at all.

Also, I want to change it so that I can alter where the textures are found, rather than just the default.

I have the same problem. Basically, have a look at the FPSC source code. It should become clear what an evil person Lee is. FPSC loads the data line by line, and knows as it is programmed to read it in a certain order. The entity data file is basically a list of values.

And I need to work this all out before I can make OpenFPS read FPSC games, which I want to do.
