Hi all,

Ever since I've downloaded SP 1 for Win7, some strangeness has occurred...

-I can't seem to save to a specific folder within DBPro's default IDE (it says I don't have administrative rights, even though I do),

-It doesn't save .dba files with the main project file (.dbpro),

-Occasionally it doesn't compile code that definitely works.

Am I alone in this or are there other people with similar issues? If so, how do I fix them? I wish TGC would put more focus back on 3D games instead of just focusing on AGK; DBPro is in need of updates!

You MUST make sure you installed DarkBasicPro in Administrator mode. If you did not do this it will not save anything. Also you must run it the first time In admin mode as well. Once you have done both, your good to go.

Also, when you add a plugin or update, you ALSo must run it once in admin mode. Otherwise DBP will crash out and cause millions of windows to open at once. Its a pain because its trying to update the scripts ( INI files ) and it cannot because it cannot save. But once it has admin mode set everything up once, its good from that point.

I am running it on Win7 with SP1 with no problems now.

I installed it after the SP 1 update ( I just did a fresh install of Windows ), so I guess I'll reinstall in admin mode and let you know how that works. Thanks!

No problem. Make sure you also have DirectX installed as well. I meant to say that earlier. Cheers.

That seems to have done the trick!

It still won't let me choose my own path to save in in the default IDE, but I can deal with that little hiccup. I'm just glad it saves the projects...
