I believe there is a tutorial on this subject in the online tutorials section.

I'm using DBPro to write "Suger Free Candyland", for diabetic children!

color backdrop 0. Plus turn mipmapping off transparent objects. (set object texture objnum,0,0) Then at least it's a smaller black line which you maybe can sorta live with...

You can turn off texture filtering too, this makes your textures look super sharp and you'd need fairly decent resolutions - but that gets rid of the outline totally. I use it a lot, especially on trees and foliage because that's where it's the biggest problem. I would say that alpha layers should fix the problem, a tree for example with a simple alpha layer will look 1 million times better, until it appears in front of another alpha'd texture, then it all goes a bit pear shaped and stops being worth the hassle.

Hi,

How do you turn mipmapping off?

And the opbject uses multiple UV textures so how do I get around it?

Try SET OBJECT TEXTURE obj,0,0 - experiment and check the help files though.

I have been playing with this all afternoon and found a solution that allows mipmapping on. Will make things look much nicer when up close.

Just make sure the image number you use to texture objects that will be transparent is higher than all the images that can be seen behind the object. So if your sky is textured with image number 47, make sure your trees are textured with images with a number greater than 47.

If your mansion house needs haunting, just call Rentaghost!
