I don't know if it's just me, but does anyone else get really annoyed when you see a comment like:
Quote: "@person1
That is a very good point you raised there, but if I were you I'd do this..."

And try and flick through the hundreds of pages of comments to find the message, and then discover they probably deleted it.

I think it's a bit of a flawed system really. Just my two cents.

It's been terrible forever, I don't think they plan on making it usable anytime soon.

Yes, it's horrific, but most of the comments are horrific too ... so I guess they suit each other.

The think i hate about youtube comments is that on every single video, whether it is a music video or video game footage, there's always a Justin Beiber comment.

Judging by the kind of people that comment...making a better system would be like making a more comfortable sewer system for the underground mutants.

Matter is energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively Theres no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and were the imagination of ourselves.

Fake and ga- oh.
Yeah it's annoying, and piques my curiosity so I have to look at what the guy replied to.

Is that it?

There is one game i play, it has perfect looking raycasting and is rendered at a very high FPS real time. This game i find very fun. What is this game? This game is life on earth.

They really need a sort by highest rated option rather than just showing the top 2 highest rated. They also need a tree structure to their comments. Basically, they need to do comments like Reddit. Not sure why they don't realize how flawed the system they use is now.

It's probably something to do with having millions, or perhaps even billions (but not kajillians) of comments in an non-tree unstructured form, which wouldn't fit into a new system. I guess they'd have to develop a system where a tree appears at the top of the comments and the old ones hang around below it.

Either way .... it should've been revamped long ago!!

They don't want to spread hate, and they know that after a thousand people reply to a jerk commenting, it will be a lot harder to find, and less people will get angry about it!

I hate youtube comments but some of the stuff they say is interesting! But 99% of everyone else is a bunch of idiots making JB jokes, calling someone a piece of shoe etc... then the other person retaliates, so on, rinse, repeat.

Here's an idea...why not removing the feature completely? allowing only private messages and channel comments.? Wouldn't that be so much nicer?

What Wolf said! Some people have no business even trying to collaborate with each other.

If you want to find the original comment you can usually go to the "see all comments" page and do a Ctrl+F then enter "person1" or whatever and you can find their comment(s).
