Newcomers DBPro Corner / Install troubles

Hi, downloaded and installed DB Pro *free*, everything working fine, bought the full version and installed, everything working fine first time, installed upgrade, will not execute after compiling, no errors.
Tried to run exe manually, getting invalid parameter.
Uninstalled and re-installed without the update, will not work anymore. Uninstalled and re-installed free version, everything working fine again. Any pointers where to look?
Windows 7 64bit

I would try turning off UAC completely. I have 32bit win7 and was having similar issues until I did. The only time I was getting the "invalid parameter" was trying to run an .exe that was compiled under an older version of dbpro.

When running the install, and the upgrade be sure to right-click and choose run as administrator.

Your signature has been erased by a mod please reduce it to 600 x 120.

Thanks, have done so without much luck. To clarify: I coded a short program, did run this in the free version, after compiling the exe starts and a window shows up. The same happens after installing the paid pro version (with the old interface)only the resulting program takes the whole screen, so no problems here. But after updating, (with the new interface) the same program compiles correct, but the results never show? I don't mind the old interface, but it refuses to install extensions. Thanks.

Hi, found the solution after poking around on the net.
The update file on their website (http://www.thegamecreators.com/?m=view_product&id=2000&page=upgrade7-5) is not working.
I found: (http://files.thegamecreators.com/darkbasicprofessional/upgrade/dbpro_upgrade_7_7_RC7.zip)
This works fine, so everything is ok now.

I should of thought of that. I happened to stumble upon the 7.7rc7 thread before my recent reinstall on win7. Regardless, glad your problem is solved and you are up and running!!
