Here's an example of good AA:

Here's the same location with bad AA:

Both were done in the same program run. I set the AA at the beginning of the game and when I first get in the game it's good. When I leave the scene and come back, it's bad....? What's going on here?

Is the display device resetting or are you switching display codes. We need the code you are using to accurately help you.

There was a bug that turned off antialiasing when sprites were displayed or something

Apparently that was fixed, or was it? Or perhaps there is another command which breaks it? I suppose you might be able to somehow try and see the exact moment it stops working to see what caused it?

@Mr Bigglesworth
No. The only thing I am doing is excluding/deleting/hiding/including/creating/showing objects. There is no change (that I am doing) to the graphics device.
As far as the code, I think it would be crazy to show you because it's sooooo big. And besides, I'm trying to keep it close to my chest because I plan on selling it. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same issue on other applications.

That might explain it. I would like some confirmation though.

Can you show how you turned on anti-aliasing in DarkGDK?

I don't seem to have the "dbSetDisplayModeAntialias" command - is that how you did it? Did you add a line of code to the DarkGDK header file(s) somewhere?

What version of DarkGDK?

Thank you!

It's there, but the documentation doesn't show it. The version is 26 Oct 2010.

I see - Thank you. I haven't upgraded my DarkDGK since all the vertex commands got whacked in Nov2008 beta release ... I will likely need to learn their new nuances if I want to get that command - Thank you for the heads up!!!

(all code prior Nov2008 beta turned to porcupines after the update -- ahhhhh scary)
