Hi.

I have 3DMax so that i can convert some models into .X format but i seem to be having problems with the size of the object.

I downloaded a chair, loaded it into 3DMax then exported it as an .x file using Panda plugin. Used EntityWorkshop V2 to make it compatable with FPS. Now when i use it in FPS the chair is massive, i loaded back into EntityWorkshop and reduced the X,Y,Z, resaved it and again tried it in FPS but again the chair was massive.

Also, Is there a tutorial on how to save the texture/UV Map for the model in 3DMax please?

Many Thanks

Worf.

The scale in 3d max should be set to 1 to 1. If a person is 6 feet tall, then in max it will be 72 inches tall. If the chair is too big, it was probably made for something like unreal which uses 16 inches to a foot (estimated). make a cylinder man size (6 foot) and then import the chair and scale it accordingly then export. If you are using a site like turbo squid you are going to find this a lot.

delete the bin file and the DBO files. then after you have made it smaller try it again.

Life is not fair, so deal with it.
