Machine code , DBC compiled to byte code i think.

Yes, machine code. You can actually see the disassembly if you open "DBPro/TEMP/_Temp.dbm" in notepad or something.

I think DBC interpretted the code as it ran until you chose to build the final .exe at which point it compiled it to some kind of bytecode.
